ChildSponsors.Org Donates £100
to Chernobyl Children's Project
ChildSponsors.Org is pleased to announce the first of what is hoped to
be many donations to The Chernobyl Children.
On the 13 August 2004 a cheque for £100 approximately $186 US or
$240 Aus Was drawn and sent to the CCP ( UK) .

Why we chose the Chernobyl
Children's Project
|
On April 26th, 1986 there
was an explosion at a nuclear power plant at Chernobyl, on the border between
Ukraine and Belarus.
Many tons of radioactive materials were thrown into the air.
Some of these were carried around the world, but 70 per cent of the radioactive
substances blew north over the population of Belarus.

Having Fun

Aid Convoys
|
Chernobyl Children’s Project was launched
in 1995.
The charity now includes around
30 groups
in England, Scotland and Wales. With other international groups.
Each summer it provides
recuperative holidays for 100's of children from Belarus in countries
around the world.
The project also organises
holidays in clean parts of Belarus for children who cannot holiday
abroad..
CCP delivers medical
supplies and other humanitarian
aid to Belarus.
It supports a children’s
hospice, trains orphanage staff to prepare children for fostering, and
works with partners in Belarus to establish better care for children and
young people with disabilities.
|
| As I live in the Teifi Valley in West Wales UK. Which
happens to be one of the UK holiday destinations for the children of
Belarus.
I have personally seen the benefit of what a few weeks holidays can
give these children. If Possible I urge you to donate
what you can
With many of them visiting our local Teifi Valley
Railway, amongst
other attractions.
