PREM (People's Rural Education Movement) is a non-profit social organisation working for the fisherfolk and tribal sample of Orissa for cast twenty years. PREM/Plan is a joint venture to support the efforts of the fisherfolks of Orissa for better health and sustainable income so that their children will have security and better future in their respective villages Though they're   economically poor they are honest, simple and environmental friendly. They are tiling in the interior vintages having very little road connections with the towns and cities. We have to put more energy and resources in these remote villages so that they may not migrate to cities where they would create more slums with endless human misery. ' Your support and concern would surely contribute greatly to build a more human and beautiful villages in this area where the children can develope to thier full potential, enjoy quality,                                freedom and dignity. PREM's main objectives is economic, organisational and cultural empowerment of the marginalised people and among them the women, in order to have creative control over their natural and human resources.

To achieve the above objectives women in all the project villages   are organised into self-help   groups to carry out savings and credit, income generation activities villages hygiene, health care, education of the children and management of resources. The men's organisations do join their hands with women for the common goal, To reduce child and maternal mortality rates we train vintage birth-attendants and extend specialised health care by doctors.
